SAL Community Services is Hiring a Driver Near Rock Island, IL
Rock Island Skip-a-Long Childhood Center, part of SAL Family and Community Services and the Quad Cities area’s leading not for profit provider of early childhood care and education, is seeking a part time Driver.
Within this role, you will do things like:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and hazard-free vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle is never left unattended at any time while transporting children.
- Ensure sanitary and safety procedures are followed by all adults and children.
- Assist children on and off the vehicle if needed.
- Ensure all vehicle paperwork is accessible and current such as registration, insurance, and accident protocol.
- Ensure compliance of rules and regulations with the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Identify, address, and ensure the proper maintenance of the vehicle is current and in good condition at all times.
- Actively participate in required training and meetings.
- Believe that early childhood education is the first step to a child’s successful future;
- Have great attention to detail while working quickly and are great communicators;
- Are passionate about building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all, and,
- Are professional, kind, and don’t take themselves too seriously!
